About Lion Raisins
The Thompson Seedless Grape came to California in 1872 and by 1892 these grapes were on their way to commercial success in the Central Valley. In 1903 Alex Lion founded Lion Raisins and in that same year he shipped his first California Thompson Seedless Raisins to the East Coast.

Lion Raisins' 130,000 sq. ft. processing facility in Selma, California
The company that was founded with pride, hard work and integrity at the turn of the century, remains committed to those same high standards today. Over the years, the Lion Family has grown to become California's largest grower and bulk ingredient processor of raisins. Along with the raisins produced by the Lion Family, additional raisins are contracted and purchased from over 600 other growers.
After four generations, Lion Raisins still maintains the same dedication to quality and service by exceeding our customers' expectations and U.S.D.A grade standards. We have accomplished this by continuing to analyze and update our processes in order to stay abreast of the latest technologies and equipment.

Lion Raisins is second to none and our custom-designed equipment provides a product quality far beyond U.S.D.A. grade A standards.

Today, Lion Raisins' 130,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is capable of producing the cleanest, safest product faster than ever before. We are proud of what our facility has to offer.
