The frequency of finished product sampling, which is maintained to ensure a consistent finished product given the inconsistencies of the raw product at the beginning of the process. Lion Raisins can provide customers' product specifications no matter if the requirement is a dry moisture raisin or a specific berry count. We can assist in writing product specifications to meet customer needs as well. 
Lion Raisins is the only raisin processor that utilizes three separate electronic sorting devices in line for the final removal of defective material from our raisins. All sorting devises are computer controlled Elbiscan Laser Sorters which utilize laser beams to scan the raisins 1000 times per second. Each Elbiscan can detect contaminants as small as 0.05" x 0.05" and  has the capability of inspecting the raisins top and bottom. This is achieved by the use lasers placed above and below the flow of raisins. The three Elbiscans with lasers (pictured above, right) scan 15,000 lbs of raisins per hour.
